mSwitch® Voice over Broadband (VoBB)
The mSwitch® Voice
over Broadband Solution offers a flexible set of calling
features for Voice over IP endpoints. These endpoints
include a broad range of ATAs, IADs, and native IP
phones. Basic, supplementary, and advanced services
are available over an IP connection, thereby enabling
end users to make and receive calls with other VoIP
users and traditional PSTN users.
This solution will allow the end user to accept incoming
voice calls, make outgoing calls, activate and deactivate
certain CLASS features, and provide support for fax
and data calls. Additionally, the end user can make
a call to and receive a call from another broadband-based
IP phone or normal PSTN phone.
This solution also provides the base building block
for transparent connectivity to the existing PSTN and
PLMN networks. By allowing carriers to leverage their
existing base of equipment to seamlessly extend existing
features and IN services to traditional endpoints and
IP endpoints.
