End User Equipment
UTStarcom provides complete end-to-end solutions for
UMTS TDD/TD-CDMA networks. In addition to RF and Core
network products, UTStarcom provides an entire suite
of end-user terminals including Desktop Modem and PCMCIA
cards within the MovingMedia® 6000 portfolio.
Desktop Modem
MovingMedia® 6000 Desktop Wireless Modem enables a
portable broadband connection for the residential and
business user. Providing plug and play functionality,
the modems have been designed to provide a low-cost
alternative to wireline broadband data solutions like
DSL and Cable. Based on 3GPP UMTS TDD standard specifications,
the MovingMedia® 6000 desktop modem portfolio provides
a wireless option for broadband data applications.
Providing always-on connectivity, the modems are designed
to offer high throughput and capacity. The desktop
modem currently supports downlink throughput of up
to 1.2Mbps via a USB connection.

PCMCIA Card
MovingMedia® 6000 PCMCIA card enables a mobile broadband
connection for the residential and business user. Providing
plug and play functionality, the PCMCIA card has been
designed to provide a low-cost mobile alternative to
wireline/fixed broadband data solutions like DSL and
Cable. Based on 3GPP UMTS TDD standard specifications,
the MovingMedia® 6000 PCMCIA card provides a mobile
alternative for broadband data applications. Providing
always-on connectivity, the PCMCIA card is designed
to offer high throughput and capacity. The PCMCIA card
currently supports downlink throughput of up to 3Mbps
via a secure wireless connection.
